The phenomenon known as “VTubing,” or the act of streaming as a 2D or 3D animated avitar, became highly popular in 2020 and 2021. As a part of my interest in motion graphic and animation, I began the process of learning how to design, build, and rig these models, and created the catgirl model used for the DarthSoftboi Twitch streams in early 2021.
All designs were created in Procreate and all rigging was done in Live2D. Face tracking was done using the VTubeStudio software.
